You apologize for upsetting him and suggest watching Jaws, since you now know for sure how much he loves sharks.

He calms down and agrees. He takes you to another floor of the tower. You can tell he's still mad but he does sit through the movie with you. It's in total silence but at least you can tell your friends you got a date.

As soon as the movie ends he stands up, nods at you, and zaps into a nearby camera.

You remember the way out and leave. You'll have to embellish the story a bit when you tell your friends later that night.
